Common cold, headache, toothache; sinusitis with nasal obstruction; rheumatic arthralgia; cough and dyspnea due to retention of phlegm and morbid fluid
Research Findings
- Ningxintong Granul (consisting of manchurian wildginger) with qi-enriching and blood-activating actions shows favorable effect in treating coronary heart disease patients with with left ventricular diastolic dysfunction.[1]
Cautions
Contraindicated in a patient with profuse sweating due to qi deficiency, headache due to yang excess and yin deficiency, or dry cough due to dryness in the lung damaging yin. Incompatible with Rhizome et Radix Veratri
Report on adverse effect
Contains aristolochic acid I (AA-I), may cause renal failure [6]
